Registered Nurse - Critical Care Unit

Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our esteemed Critical Care Unit team. As a Registered Nurse in the Critical Care Unit, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care and support to critically ill patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Monitoring and managing the condition of critically ill patients, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Operating and troubleshooting advanced medical equipment and devices used in critical care settings.
  • Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families, addressing their concerns and providing guidance on post-care instructions.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals, such as physicians, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Participating in continuous education and professional development to enhance clinical knowledge and stay updated with the latest advancements in critical care practices.

Requirements:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license and current registration with the appropriate nursing regulatory body.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in a critical care unit.
  • Advanced knowledge of critical care nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong critical thinking, assessment, and problem-solving skills to provide timely and effective interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and medical equipment utilized in critical care units.
